President & CEO
Dave serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of URENCO USA
(UUSA) and has over 40 years of experience in the leadership, management,
design, analysis, regulation, operation, and licensing of nuclear facilities. As
President of UUSA, he oversees the company’s business strategies and objectives and provides organizational leadership for the UUSA plant. Located just outside of Eunice, New Mexico, UUSA enriches uranium for commercial nuclear reactors for US and international customers and serves as the only centrifuge based operational facility in North America. Dave’s responsibilities
include meeting corporate business goals and objectives, fulfilling environmental and community stewardship, and maintaining safe and compliant operations of this $4 billion facility. During his tenure at UUSA, Dave also served as the Vice President of Site Projects, Vice President of Operations and Chief Nuclear Officer, Vice President of Engineering, Project
Design Authority, and Technical Services Director.
Prior to joining UUSA, Dave was Vice President of the Kestrel Group, Inc. There he consulted for executive and senior management at numerous nuclear power stations and Department of Energy facilities and served in various line management positions. These assignments included strategic and financial planning, organizational and program performance assessment,
management of restart organizations, management of systems engineering organizations, and the development and management of operational and regulatory performance improvement initiatives.
Dave holds a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and nuclear engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering; served as the qualifying party on the UUSA’s commercial construction license; and, attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Dave resides in Hobbs, New Mexico with his wife, Nancy, and is an active contributor to community non-profit boards and programs.
